This app is centered on knowing Jesus Christ. But you may not know him, or know why you would want to know him, or even know who he is. This is the place where you can safely ask questions and discover answers.
If you already know Jesus Christ, this app will help you to grow in that knowledge and will motivate you to be "Spiritually Fit" by being in a right relationship with God, which will empower you to be "Ready to Serve" those around you and to perform your military duty with honor.
Everything you will find in this app is based on a single truth we call the gospel (or good news) of Jesus Christ. This video will explain why Jesus truly is good news for a broken world... and our broken lives.
We are in a world that is broken and breaking into still smaller pieces. The truth is we too are broken. Experience tells us how hard it is to keep those pieces together and how little hope we have to make it right.
The Bible tells us that God designed us for wholeness, truth, honor, purpose. So why aren't we experiencing that?
Because we have chosen not to follow God's plan, but our own. The word the Bible gives that choice is "sin." History proves how unsuccessful our own plans have been and how our sin has resulted in death and destruction.
The Good News is that God has not given up on us.
Because he is good and loving he made a way for us to be restored to wholeness, truth, honor and purpose... to be restored to a right relationship with him.
But because he is just and holy that solution requires that the penalty that our sin deserves or earned must be paid. That penalty is death.
So Jesus Christ came and lived a sinless life (one that did not earn the penalty of death)... and then took on the penalty we earned, so that we would not have to die. The Bible says, "Christ had no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could be right with God (2 Corinthians 5:21 ERV)."
Three days after Jesus died and was buried, he rose to life and lives still. He conquered death!
Our sins have been paid for. He has made available the gift of eternal life. He has made it possible for us to experience wholeness, truth, honor and purpose.
But we have another choice to make. We must choose to accept that gift in order to experience the life God designed for us... or we can reject it and choose to remain separated from God forever.
You accept the gift by talking to God (which is called prayer). An example of what you could say is below. The words don't matter so much as the attitude of your heart.
"Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I need you to forgive me. I know that you died a painful death so that my sins could be forgiven. Thank you. I trust you as my Savior and want you to be the Lord of my life. Make me the person you want me to be. Amen."
